ADATA Technology was established in May 2001 by Simon Chen, founder and CEO. From the beginning, ADATA embraced the goal of becoming a leading global memory brand through integrity and professionalism, and these ideals led to record growth rates and outstanding business performance for the company. Currently, ADATA main product lines are comprised of DRAM and NAND-type flash memory devices, including memory modules, Flash memory drives, memory cards, solid-state hard drives and external hard drives.
|In 2005, ADATA became the second largest company in the memory module industry, and has continued to stay at the forefront; According to leading global market research agency iSuppli’s May 2010 report, ADATA is the world's third largest manufacturer of flash memory products.
Through constant innovation and development of products that exceed customer expectations, ADATA has won many of the most recognized international awards including the Taiwan Excellence Silver Award, Japan’s G-MARK (Good Design Award), CES Innovations Award in the U.S., the iF Design award, and the red dot design award in Germany.
Rebranding as "New Value, Green Enterprise" to meet the second decade
ADATA has recently completed its first decade, and has experienced rapid growth through the management team’s solid experience in the memory industry, the establishment of global marketing channels, the pursuit of excellence in management, and adherence to the core principles of the corporate culture defined by the chairman and senior management. Only five years after its establishment, sales turnover reached one billion U.S. dollars annually, and the company as the youngest one in the record became one of Taiwan’s Top 20 Global Brands. These excellent operating results not only reflect a proven business approach which allowed ADATA to establish a strong market position and brand value, but also become a paradigm for other enterprises.
Moving into its second decade, ADATA will make further advances in operating performance and market share. In order to grasp market trends and changes in the memory industry, from 2008 ADATA has re-branded and embraced a benchmark for sustainability: "New Value, Green Industry."
